My First Foreign Country Part IV

It's the fourth full day and it was another beautiful sunny day. But beautiful sunny days come with a price; which is blazing hot sunlight burning my skin to a not so nice dark tan. If you actually look through each parts of my blog, I get darker and darker. I'm virtually invisible in pictures taken at night...sigh.

TOKYO

So the bus ride from Osaka to Tokyo was from 11PM the night before to 8AM the next morning. I had a hard time falling asleep and even when I did fall asleep here and there, it wasn't refreshing. It was even harder because I mistakingly bought a carton of coffee milk thinking it was chocolate milk.

The dropped us off at Shinjuku which is in the northern part of Tokyo. Then we took the metro to our hostel which was in Asakusa.

When we got to our hostel check-in wasn't until 11am so we had some time to kill. We dropped off our bags and explored the area.

Shopping area leading to Sensō-ji Temple.

Sensō-ji Temple.

After we checked-in, we washed up and then took a power nap before more traveling.
After the nap, we went out to this area. Can't remember the name. But this place was suppose to be famous for electronics and anime/manga stuff.
We encountered another kind person. We were on our way to meet someone and we ask this man for help. He went out of his way and took us to where we needed to go. Then he went back the way he was suppose to go. There really nice and helpful here.

This store was entirely of these gumball toy machines thingys. The whole store.
This tall building was called Don Quijote and it's a chain discount store. They sell pretty much everything. Each floor is literally packed with items that it's hard to get around in the store.
This was the first floor: electronics and games.

This was the arcade floor. This girl is playing a DJing version of Guitar Hero. She's spinning and cutting and whatever else it is that DJs do. It was pretty cool.

Saw a taxi in the middle of the street.

For dinner we had MOS BURGER!
A fast food chain but not like 'McDonalds'. The quality is more like 'Five Guys'.

The last activity of the night was viewing Tokyo from high above.

The building is the World Trade Center in Hamamatsucho.

That's Tokyo Tower. I'm sure it's like Namsan Tower in Korea.

My favorite pic!

We went to another sky building for the view but this place was way better. We also saw a firework display from there. The fireworks were happening in Shibuya, which was where we went the next day in Tokyo!
