My Visit to Incheon, Namsan Tower, and Lawrences Birthday

I've visited Incheon often actually (more so than any other cities here in Korea) but it's usually to visit my 작은고모. I usually spend time with her family and don't really go out and explore the city. This time I went with my good buddy and townmate Lawrence. We went to Wolmi Park and Chinatown. And as I mentioned in my last post, I've made an effort to steer clear of my default dorky picture pose (hands together placed in front of my crotch haha).

When we got out of the train station we saw the entrance of the Chinatown but we decided to go to the park first so we can have Chinese food for dinner.

This is the main street with lots of stores and restaurants. I'm sure it's more lively at night.

New pose #1: One hand on hip and the other on the thing you're taking the picture with.

This is the park. It's a trail and this is near the top.

Some fort they used to defend against invaders.

It's one of those houses from Family Outing haha.

So there's this lovely and beautiful traditional folk village on one side and on the other side there's...

industrial factories.
So after the park, we went back to the Chinatown.

Confucius.

My Korean has gotten better. In a nutshell, it says Confucius was one of the wisest thinkers and social philosopher who fought off space invaders that were trying to make everyone into dancing zombies.
As you saw, the Chinatown was very clean. Contrary to New York City's Chinatown, where I feel it's more authentic. And the dinner sucked. I wanted to find American fast food Chinese food, or at least real Chinese food, but ended eating Korean Chinese food...
This is a DD in 헤화 which was where our hostel was. I don't know about other cities in the U.S. but New York City's DDs are nothing like the ones they got here in Korea. It has 3 floors and it's more like a fancy cafe. But U.S. Dunkin' Donuts' have better doughnuts.
Haha poop in the middle of the sidewalk.
We met up with one of Lawrence's friend and had lunch.
The next day was our visit to Namsan Tower. On the way we passed by the grand opening of the first H&M in Korea. There was a huge line. There were large security guards in suits. Only a certain amount of customers were allowed into the store at a time. All this for H&M.
The Lebron James of Figure Skating in Korea, Kim Yuna.

I will admit, I really didn't think she was pretty at first but now I think she's actually cute. All the millions of posters, billboards, and advertisements all over Korea didn't sway my opinion of her, but a TV documentary of her did. She looks cute without all that gunk on her face.

We took the cable car because we were short on time.

As we were riding up, we saw a burning building.

The path we could have taken if we had more time.

Preparing for the show.

Those are a bunch of locks couples leave. They write their words of love on the lock, and lock it onto the fence and other places.

One of the lock said something like "I love you. Be safe and don't cheat on me while I'm in the army." Haha

These pictures are from the top of the tower.

The bathroom.

We were both a little shy.

The show. The FREE show haha.

I wasted precious time in the beginning, but to sum up the aftermath of this fight, the guy in the red wins.

At night we celebrated Lawrence's birthday. It was a fun weekend.
