My Mom's Side

In my Chuseok post a couple weeks back, I spent time with most of my relatives on my dad's side. Almost all of my dad's relatives are here in Korea. On the other hand, most of my mom's relatives live back in America. So my mom's siblings goes as followed: younger brother, my mom, and then 2 older sisters. All of them live in America except the oldest sister. So the closest relatives here in Korea is my oldest aunt, and her daughter and son, my cousins.
-
This is my older cousin. She has a nice family with 2 kids. And seeing as how I haven't really spent time with them, or even met them, they were a bit afraid of me. They live in Seoul, but I forget exactly where.

Me with my cousin and her kids. (We took pictures right when I woke up.)

My cousin and her husband and cat.

One of the highlights of the trip was that they took me to this restaurant called VIPs. Best American food I had in a while. And when there is good, there is bad. The worst part of the trip, let me introduce to you these disgusting animals:

This little hairball is Minky.

This adorable furball is Hana.

So funny story but not really, I thought I was going to die while I was there. I forgot that I had cat allergies and I really couldn't breath so well while I was sleeping. [And to my defense, the reason I forgot was because I didn't discover this allergy until early this year, and I haven't spent anywhere overnight where they had a cat.] Stupid cats.
-
Now my visit to my Kuen Emo! She lives in Busan which is at the most southern part of Korea. Therefore, it is very far away. By train (with transferring) it took about 3 hours. On the way back I took the bus, it took about 4 hours.
This is me patiently waiting for my first train ride in Korea.
Then me realizing the train was coming from this side, so I quickly run over.

My Emo and her husband own and run a factory that makes...stuff?

This is me, my younger cousin, Emo and Emobu.

That's my Emobu, Emo and my cousin from America. That's my mom's younger brothers daughter, Elissa.

We went sightseeing.

This estate is owned by a Korea mob leader, says my cousin who says she has a reliable source.
-
So that was my trip to Seoul and Busan to visit my relatives on my mom's side. I will end this post with a video. The cat bothered me with her fur, so I decided to return the favor. And I know the cat bothering me was unintentional, but it was fun haha. =D

My Trip to Mun Kyeong, Jung Won University and Seoul

Record timing for another post. So I decided to combine some of my trips into one post to save some time for me and my loyal viewers =D So today on our tour, we will be visiting Mun Kyeong, Jung Won University and one part of Seoul.
-
First on the tour is Mun Kyeong. Now to you this is just any other ordinary shigol town, and it is to me too...but with one difference. This is my dad's hometown; where it all started.

And this small restaurant used to be my dad's house. Now it's a small restaurant that specializes in 보신탕 (Dog Meat Stew).
So this grandma (the owner) comes out. And I wonder who she is. She sees me taking pictures. I grow more curious. She then starts to yell at me. I become startled and frightened. My aunt explained the situation. She welcomed us in to have some 보신탕, but 'had no time' to stay.
-
Next on the tour is Jung Won Hotel...I mean university. This is an understandable mistake and you will soon understand as well.
Entrance to the outdoor swimming pool.
Outdoor swimming pool.
A small pond area.

And I didn't even take pictures of the golf course.
-
Last on the tour is Seoul.
동대문 to be exact.
A park.

That man wouldn't leave so he's in the picture...but it looks more authentic this way.

Saw these guys wearing those cool outfits for no apparent reason.

And apparently there was a reason.

A nice little shopping complex.
Inside of a coffee shop.
The interior design was something different. The tables at hand written notes from I'm guessing past customers.

These 호떡 were really good but really hot.
And I know this is nothing special, but it was nice to see.
-
Again, hope you enjoyed this post and that I didn't make any fobbish mistakes.
